COVID-19 Response & Support Programs

Beginning August 12, 2020, Clearwater Power will resume disconnecting electrical service for accounts with an unpaid, delinquent balance where no payment arrangements or debt arrangements have been made.

From March 9 through August 11, your cooperative had chosen to suspend electric disconnections for homes and small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. As of August 12th, we plan to resume the process of disconnecting accounts with an unpaid, delinquent balance where no payment arrangements or debt arrangements have been made.

We encourage you to contact our staff if you are unable to pay your bill so we can discuss payment deferrals, payment options, and financial assistance at (208) 743-1501. A proactive approach is the best way for us to be equipped to help. Debt arrangements are available after seeking financial assistance from published resources. View a list of Customer Support Programs (PDF).

In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Clearwater Power and Propane are taking the following steps to protect the health and safety of our employees, customers, contractors, and our communities:

  1. Our public lobbies are open to the public with social distancing guidelines. Payments can also be submitted 24/7 at our website, or (208) 743-1501. Our drive-thru window is open during business hours and there is also a payment drop off point at our office on Hatwai Road.
  2. Internet service installations, new power installations, and other services have resumed with recommended social-distancing measures in place.
  3. A number of steps are being taken to isolate and protect employees to ensure that we can maintain safe and reliable electric, propane, and internet service.
  4. If you are financially impacted, please stay in contact with our staff. We have payment options and services to assist our membership through this challenging and unprecedented situation. We can also help you locate assistance programs. View a list of Customer Support Programs (PDF).
  5. All public meetings including town hall meetings and public safety demonstrations are currently canceled.
