To support daily operations of fleet equipment and warehouse facilities. Performs cleaning and light maintenance on vehicles and equipment. Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly warehousing system.
Full-time (40 Hours/Week), Non-Exempt, Hourly Position.
Responsible to and under the direct supervision of the General Foreman and Director of Purchasing and Warehousing.
Minimum of a high school diploma/GED and at least two (2) years’ work experience in a related position.
The following licenses and certifications are also required. If the selected applicant does not possess these, the company will arrange for (and cover costs of) training

- OSHA 1910.269
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- CPR Certification
GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
(a) Shall be familiar with Cooperative Bylaws, Policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
(b) Stays informed of general Cooperative issues and attends related training classes.
(c) Must possess a Medic First Aid and CPR card and be proficient in their application.
(d) Must demonstrate necessary proficiency to perform the duties in accordance with OAR 437, Division 2, Subdivision R (1910.269).
(e) Promotes and follows safe practices, procedures, and safety rules and participates in scheduled Safety Meetings.
(f) Must possess an Idaho State Traffic Control Work Zone Flagger card and be proficient in its application.
(g) Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and programs including Microsoft Office Suite and general office equipment. A thorough knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
(h) Excellent skills in written and verbal communication. Ability to communicate technical data in a clear and concise manner.
(i) Must demonstrate honesty, integrity, confidentiality, dependability, and flexibility along with initiative and motivation to organize and complete tasks and meet deadlines, acting independently and with minimum supervision and direction.
(j) Shall perform duties and assignments, and conduct self in such a manner as to reflect credit on the Cooperative and contribute to an increasingly better understanding and harmonious relations with the members and general public.
(k) A professional appearance is important along with excellent skills in human relations with the ability to work as a team member.
(l) Must be physically able to sit or stand at a computer workstation for long periods of time using repetitive hand/arm motion. Must be physically able to perform strenuous tasks such as lifting, unloading freight, carrying, and holding.
(m) Must be qualified to operate material handling equipment, company vehicles, and equipment necessary to perform job functions.
(n) A valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License in accordance with the U.S. Dept. of Transportation regulations in their state of residency is required. A Class A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred.
(a) Delivers material to Ahsahka and Princeton warehouses and job sites when needed. Performs monthly inventory spot checks at these warehouses.
(b) Keeps shop, warehouse tools and equipment clean, serviced, and in working condition. Performs minor servicing.
(c) Assists in the performance of an annual physical inventory of all materials, tools and other general plant equipment.
(d) Helps maintain warehouses, pole yard and other storage areas in a safe and clean condition.
(e) Assists in vehicle delivery and pickup. Performs minor repairs as needed.
(f) Assists in building maintenance when necessary.
(g) Gains and maintains a thorough knowledge of all safety rules and regulations that apply to maintaining and operating the Cooperative’s trucks and equipment.
(h) Cleans and refuels the Cooperative’s trucks and equipment on a daily basis.
(i) Performs emergency repairs and other work as necessary to ensure effective operation of Cooperative equipment.
(j) Must be willing to work varied hours in order to service/repair equipment when not being used by line crews.
(k) Maintains a clean and safe work area and is responsible for locking shop and securing tools.
(l) Communicates with departments and outside districts to schedule equipment maintenance.
(m) Performs any other duties as assigned.
