Catching Up With Cassandra Clovis, Clearwater Power’s 2018 Youth Rally Delegate

For more than 35 years, Clearwater Power Company has sponsored area students to participate in the Idaho Consumer-Owned Utilities Association Youth Rally, a summertime leadership camp and scholarship program.

Cassandra Clovis, daughter of Clearwater Power members Todd and Jennifer Clovis, participated in the Youth Rally in 2018. She was headed into her junior year at Asotin High School when she attended. Clearwater Power caught up with Cassandra to see what she is doing today.

Cassandra works as a licensed insurance producer for Bruce Wyatt State Farm Insurance Agency in Lewiston. She’s also registering as a licensed investment adviser representative.

Cassandra graduated from Asotin High School in 2020 and was salutatorian of her class. After high school, she attended the University of Washington, graduating after just 3 years with a bachelor’s degree in communication.

While attending college, she worked for a State Farm agency in Seattle. Once she earned her degree, she moved back to the LC Valley to work for her grandfather, Bruce Wyatt, at his State Farm agency in Lewiston.

Cassandra has secured 2 insurance licenses in Washington and Idaho: property and casualty and life and health insurance. She also has multiple securities industry essentials licenses. 1 day, she hopes to manage her own insurance agency or investment advisory firm.

Cassandra credits the Youth Rally with helping her achieve her goals. In addition to the scholarship money, which helped her pay for college, she says Youth Rally helped her learn about leadership and provided personal and professional connections.

“The Youth Rally gave me the opportunity to meet other driven individuals from different states and backgrounds,” she says. “I still stay in touch with a number of friends that I met at the rally.”

Outside of work, Cassandra spends time with friends and family, boating in Hells Canyon, playing pickleball, traveling, and doing anything outdoors. She also enjoys photography.
