Daniel Mader

Board Candidate

District 3

Candidate statement:

First, I want to thank the current leadership of the Board of Directors and the staff of Clearwater Power for doing a great job in leading our Co-op to this date. I believe that electrical power that is reasonably priced is one of, if not the biggest, blessings that we have today that makes our lives easier and is also the foundation for all of our connections and comforts.
The future will bring a host of new ways to generate power that are abundant and reasonably priced. If we can keep power reliable, abundant and reasonably priced, our members can enjoy a great life here in north Idaho.
I hope my experience in the Idaho legislature can be useful in navigating some of the policy issues we will face in the future.
There seems to be a growing number of attacks on our grid across the country, and it will be a good idea to protect some of our most vulnerable assets to make sure our electrical supply in secure and in great working order. We have a wonderful asset that works well and I would like to help keep that record of great service to our members going for many more years.
