Candidate statement:

I am eager to represent our community as a candidate for the Clearwater Power Company's Board of Directors, I do so with a heart full of passion and a vision for a brighter cooperative future. This journey is not merely a personal endeavor; it's a testament to my unwavering commitment to our cooperative and the potential it holds to create lasting positive change in our community.

Because of the company's commitment to serving its customers and promoting community development, I have a great enthusiasm for Clearwater Power Company. For many years, I have seen firsthand the priceless influence that our cooperative has had on the lives of our neighbors. I am really moved by the vital services it offers, the dedication to sustainable practices, and the sincere concern for the well-being of our members. My desire to actively contribute to the development of our cooperative is fueled by this passion.

I feel that the variety of experiences I've had along the way have uniquely qualified me for a position on the board. I bring a diverse set of talents to the table, drawing on my experience in warehouse, where accuracy and efficiency are crucial, and my entrepreneurial adventure, where I acquired skills in business management, accounting, and staff leadership. My experience as a teacher served to further emphasize how crucial it is to be patient, flexible, and excellent communicators—qualities that are essential for board members. My capacity to work with others, plan ahead, and influence good change has improved as a result of my participation in numerous committees, boards, nonprofits, and civic organizations.

If given a position on the board, I promise to contribute in a way that is consistent with the goals and values of Clearwater Power Company. My vision is supported by a number of pillars:

Strategic Vision: I picture a cooperative that keeps coming up with new ideas and adapting to the evolving energy market. We are able to offer dependable, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions to our members by being on the cutting edge of industry trends and technology.

Clearwater Power Company is required to meet the highest standards of accountability and transparency. I'll put forth endless effort to make sure that our members are informed and that their opinions are taken into consideration when the board makes decisions.

Innovation and Sustainability: We must embrace innovation and sustainability if we want to be current and responsible. My goal is to support programs that lessen our environmental impact while preserving accessibility and dependability.

Engagement with the Community: The community is the foundation of our cooperative. The direction of our cooperative will be shaped by the wants and concerns of our members, whose needs and worries I will work to create even better ties with.

To sum up, I am motivated by a strong desire to support Clearwater Power Company and the neighborhood it serves. We can empower our cooperative to achieve new heights, deliver exceptional service, and ensure a brighter future for everyone as we set out on this adventure together. Running a Small Business

My entrepreneurial journey spans over 14 years, during which I owned and operated Rapid Refill Ink and Toner. This endeavor demanded versatile skills, from orchestrating sales and financial management to maintaining efficient inventory systems and leading a dedicated team.

Warehousing Expertise

My career has mainly revolved around warehousing. I've done well in jobs where I had to keep track of inventory, make sure things moved smoothly from one place to another, and operate machinery. These experiences have given me a deep knowledge of how supply chains work.

A. College of Southern Idaho (1984-1987)
– Degree: Associate of Arts (AA) in Agriculture Business and Agriculture Mechanics
– Brief Description: While I was at the College of Southern Idaho, I focused on Agriculture Business and Agriculture Mechanics. This education helped me improve my technical skills and gave me a strong understanding of how business and hands-on farming go together.

B. Eastern Oregon University (1988-1993)
– Degree: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Agriculture Economics
– Brief Description: I attended Eastern Oregon University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics. During my studies, I not only learned about important economic concepts for agriculture but also gained practical knowledge relevant to owning a business. Additionally, I actively participated in community service initiatives during my time at the university.

C. University of Idaho (1996-1997)
